How To: Contour & Highlight.

Hello Gorgeous !

I managed to film a hardcore highlighting and contouring tutorial for you. No, its not just a little dark powder here and a light reflecting powder there. I show you how I work with liquid or creamy textures and then set them with powders.

It is undoubtedly one of the most intimidating and tricky makeup methods to try out but definitely one you can perfect with some practice and the results will leave you uber pleased with your chiseled new face structure without any surgery. :P

Products Used:
MAC Studio Fix Fluid - NC 50

Hope you've enjoyed this one and don't forget.. practice makes perfect !

Eye Makeup for Fall/Autumn '14

Hey hey hey !

It certainly doesn't feel like Autumn just yet but I am gearing up for the cooler and more festive months. My idea of the perfect fall eye makeup is playing with plum or aubergine tones for the smokiness and adding a warm glow to the lids for a beautiful 3D effect. This is how I'll be wearing my makeup around Diwali and the festive season.

Today's look is super easy peasy.

In today's video, I show you how I do my brows for the fall. I have bushy brows which I need to tame but I also wear my brows stronger for the fall and winter so that works out perfectly!

Now my four simple steps for the eyelids. You could use different colours and use the same placement method to create any look that works for you.

1. Outer V with Makeup Geek's Burlesque on Makeup Geek Smokey Eye Brush.

2. Smokey Crease with Urban Decay Naked 3's Nooner on a MAC 217. Lots of blending strokes are key to the look.

3. Warm Lid Colour - Barry M Dazzle Dust (Bronze) on a flat shadow brush.

4. Matte Browbone Highlight with Urban Decay Naked 3's Strange on a flat shadow brush.

Watch the video to see how I go about each step.

Products Used:
MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit
Ben Nye Clear Mascara
NYX Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer - CJ05
Urban Decay Primer Potion - Orginal
Makeup Geek Eyeshadow - Burlesque
UD Naked 3 - Nooner Eyeshadow
Barry M Dazzle Dust - Bronze
UD Naked 3 - Strange Eyeshadow
Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer - Perfect Plum

Don't forget to send me pictures if you do end up recreating this look.

I will soon be coming up with a complete makeup look for an Indian wedding. Really excited to share that as well.

Until then, keep up the dolling up ! <3

Concealer 101

Welcome to my 101 on concealers ladies !

I am sorry for being a little groggy today. Thats how I get when the light isn't proper for filming.

So here it is. I talk all about my favorite concealers in my collection. The idea behind filming this was to let you know your options and what would suit your purpose whether its under eye circles or blemishes.
You'll find that I love the more liquid consistency and salmon undertone for my dark under eyes while the creamy ones are well loved by the acne scarring, blemishes and spots on the face. I always go for something thats an exact match with my skin on the spots.

The NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer is my top favorite of the moment. Unfortunately, I couldn't talk about it or swatch it in the video. I use the shade CJ 05 - Medium.

You could pick this baby up at Sephora in New Delhi for INR 530/- only.
Can I tell you a secret? This one is waaayyy better than even MAC Studio Finish. Creamy, blends easily, stays put after setting with a powder and does NOT settle into fine lines.
There is no reason to not own this one if you can find an ideal match in the limited shade selection.
Perfect Product. Perfect Price. A complete 5/5.

Concealers Mentioned
LIQUIDS:
L'oreal True Match Concealer in n-4/5
Avon Liquid Concealer in Medium
MAC Studio Finish Corrector in Burnt Coral
MAC Pro Longwear in NW 30
Bobbi Brown Tinted UnderEye Brightener in Light to Medium Peach #7
CREAM:
Deborah 24ORE Perfect in 04
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC 45
MAC PRO Concealer Palette in Medium Deep
NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer

So conceal away loves!

Restore your Makeup !!! **Fixing Shattered Powders & Dry Gel Liner/Cream Eyeshadow**

Hallo everybody !

Have you ever felt that cringe when off went a palette of eyeshadows or a pressed powder and *bam* on the floor?
OR just randomly opened it one day to find a million pieces of your beloved makeup product.

And then there are the times when you reach for a gel liner or cream shadow that has been stashed in the back of your collection but one fine day you REALLY REALLY want to use it again.. AND you find that it has totally shrunk, left its walls and is hard as a rock. Let alone using this, you can not even swatch it.

Here's what you can do ! :)

Just ask your local chemist for isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Its 50 buks and its awesome. Here's why.

-> It does not change your makeup's composition in any way. It simply acts as a binding agent and evaporates.
-> Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol is an awesome disinfectant. Its what they use on a cotton ball before an injection.

Too dry to even swatch !
As for the creamy shadows and liners, the heat from the blow drier just reactivates the emollient texture and they will be good to go for another few weeks and then you may have to repeat this process. Remember to apply maximum heat to get the emollients going and minimum air flow. Too much air can further dry these up.

Alternatively, if your product containers seem microwave safe, just pop them in there for a few seconds. That should work just as well.

Swatches after heating with a blowdryer !

Have fun with your makeup my beauties.

Much Love.

Tc. Xx.
